Going Green

By bus we are on the Burton-on-Trent to Uttoxeter and Derby routes. The train is on the Derby to Stoke-on-Trent line. But note – be sure to book to Tutbury & Hatton station, which is three minutes walk from us

By car our Bed and Breakfast is best approached from the A50.

  • From the M1 (or the A38) travel west (towards Uttoxeter) along the A50 and look for the sign A511 Burton-on-Trent (at the next junction after A516 for Hilton). We suggest that from the M1 northbound you take the A50 at Junction 24 rather than the A511 at J22 unless the MI is particularly congested.
  • From Uttoxeter, Stoke-on-Trent and the M6 travel eastwards along the A50. Again the sign is for A511 Burton-on-Trent (a mile or so after the A515 roundabout at Sudbury).

From the A50, follow the A511 to the traffic lights and turn right into Hatton (Station Road). After half a mile you will go over a mini roundabout. Turn into the next detached house on your left and park on the drive. The house number is 20 and our B&B sign is at the entrance. (If you go over the railway crossing you have missed us. Then, continue over the river, turn round at the roundabout and return using the directions below.)

From Burton-on-Trent. Take the A511 (it is signed to Uttoxeter and/or Tutbury). At the roundabout at the bottom of the Tutbury by-pass bear right and go over the river and the railway. Then on your right is a pub (the Railway Inn). Also on your right you will see a bungalow and two detached houses. Enter at the second of these – No 20 and park (temporarily) on the drive.

(Note, there is no direct link in Burton between the A511 and the A38. If you are travelling north on the A38 we suggest heading for the A50 junction and turning left. If you are using sat-nav the nice lady will probably take you through Rolleston and along the Tutbury bypass.)

After we greet you we will direct you to one of our parking places.
